Travel Information
All delegates are required to make their own travel arrangements to South Africa for the 32nd ISO General Assembly.
ENTERING SOUTH AFRICA
All foreign visitors entering South Africa must have a valid passport and some will need a visa. All passports whether a visa is needed or not must at least have two blank pages. Visas must be obtained before departure and applications should be made to a South African embassy, consulate or diplomatic mission in the country of residence. Participants are advised to check with their local travel agency about regulations regarding passports, visas and vaccinations and particularly the length of notice for obtaining a visa, if required. In case of doubt, information can be obtained from the nearest Republic of South Africa's embassy, consulate or diplomatic mission.
If a visa is required, please request a formal invitation from the host committee by filling out the relevant section of the pre-registration form.
ARRIVING BY AIR IN CAPE TOWN
International and domestic flights arrive at Cape Town International Airport, located 30 minutes by car from the meeting venue.
Note: Passengers transferring from an international to a domestic flight at OR Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg MUST clear their luggage themselves in Johannesburg even if - at their point of departure - their luggage has been tagged through to Cape Town. After customs clearance, luggage will have to be rebooked for the domestic flight to Cape Town at the recheck desk in the departure hall.
International flights that only touch down in Johannesburg en route to Cape Town are unaffected by this ruling.
